Hand-thrown bottle form known as "Hwa-byeong," literally translated to "flower bottle" Made in the spirity of Korean buncheong with hand-harvested wild clays from the Sierra Nevada range in California. Dipped momentarily in white clay slip and finished in a transparent feldspathic glaze. The glaze for this piece is a very simple mixture of a feldspathic stone, wood ash, and clay. This glaze will develop a beautiful patina with continued use. Watertight, ideal for wet or dry flower arrangements.
