Medium Teapot, Raw Brass Handle

Hand-thrown teapot "da-guan" in the Korean buncheong style, made of wild clays from the Sierra Nevada range. Dipped in white slip and finished with a feldspar and ash glaze. This particular size is ideal for multiple steeping of loose leaf tea for 2-3 people, welcoming more interaction and providing space for conversation or contemplation in daily tea ritual. The glaze will develop a subtle patina with use.

Pure brass handle is hammered by hand and can be etched on request (Leave a note at checkout). The raw brass will develop a darker patina over time, while the black etching process allows for the opposite, i.e. it begins black and will reveal use patterns like an old brass door handle over time. The handle swings gently side to side for access to the lid, and can be removed or re-tensioned over time.

Teapot body 12cm W; 9cm H  (appx 4.75in W x 3.5in H) With handle, 16cm H

Capacity 450ml / 16oz
