Hand-thrown storage vessel in the Korean 'Dombeong' buncheong style, made of hand-harvested wild clays from the Sierra Nevada range. Dipped in a bath of white slip and finished in a simple ash glaze. Finger marks on the lid area show how it was handled in the slipware process. This particular jar features a slightly coarser clay and includes naturally occurring impurities. The glaze will develop a rich patina with use. Ideal for storing loose leaf tea or other valuables. Pair with a teapot
