This folk design produced for many centuries in many shapes and sizes represents a prototypical ancient water-carrying jug called "Brocca" from the island of Sardegna. Today, few carry their water in these jugs, but the purity of 'form meets function' seems timeless and recalls the imperfect emotion of the human body.
Hand coiled and built on a kick wheel using the onggi method I learned in Korea.
Watertight, ideal for wet or dry flower arrangements, or as a stand-alone piece.
Dimensions 20cm W; 26cm H (appx 8in x 10in)
