Thrown quickly with a bit of spontaneous whim, a comfortable shape, and a slender handle that fits one finger. Vessels for everyday coffee or tea ritual. Wild clay from the Sierra Nevada, collected, processed, and formed by hand. Coated in white clay slip and glazed with rice straw ash and powdered stone. The thickness variation that occurs by quickly dipping each piece by hand in the glaze slurry results in a multitude of hues from yellow/ pearly white to a dark earth tone where the slip is thinner and the iron-rich clay body shows through.
