Hand-thrown bowl in the Korean 'Dombeong' buncheong style, made of hand-harvested wild clays from the Sierra Nevada range. Dipped in a bath of white slip and finished in a simple ash glaze with ancient origins. This particular bowl features a slightly coarser clay and includes naturally occurring impurities. The glaze for this piece is painstakingly prepared with rice straw as a byproduct from an Organic Japanese rice farm in California. The glaze will develop a warm patina with use.
