Two unique one off smaller sabal style teabowls paired together. Created in the spirit of the ancients. Quickly thrown, altered and trimmed with a bamboo tool. Made with hand-harvested wild clays from the Sierra Nevada mountains. Dipped and brushed white kaolin slip and finished in a simple ash and feldspar glaze. This particular bowl features a slightly coarser clay and includes naturally occurring impurities. A slightly altered square shape of one bowl gently contrasts the other asymmetric oval shape, welcoming spring with an open heart.
The glaze will develop a richpatina with use, and is ideal for loose leaf tea.
