Serving Bowl, White, Half Dip

Wheel thrown in the Korean buncheong style, made of wild clays foraged and processed by hand in my studio. A lovely undulating rim and stable foot on this one, yet remains elegant in proportion. The form was dipped in white clay slip and finished in a transparent feldspathic glaze.  This particular bowl features a rougher clay blend with naturally occurring impurities that have burned through the slip and glaze during reduction firing revealing coveted pink blushing in some areas. Excellent as a salad, ramen, fruit or serving bowl. The glaze will develop a beautiful patina with use.
